Call it breath-taking, stunning or out-of-the-world. Any amount of appreciation would fit well for this film. Bala, considered the maverick director of Tamil cinema believes in quality rather than quantity and has come up with a film that spells both charm as well as fear on you.
Having chosen a very rich and fertile subject, it looks like Bala decided to skim a little over the screenplay and the protagonists. Naan Kadavul is definitely worth a watch for its superb secondary characters, setting and music. Now, if only the screenplay had provided the missing punch.
It’s a much darker film than the director’s previous works. After the film, the entire audiences stood up and gave a stand ovation, something that has not happened in recent times. Watch Naan Kadavul, because it’s one of those films that won’t easily get out of your head long after the film is over.

Im proud to have great director Bala in india. His work in NAN KADAVUL is no way comparable to other flims in world. I wonder arya and pooja for showing the real acting to the world. Hats-off bala. Bala you dont need OSCAR. you deserves more than OSCAR. No reviews can match ur creativity. Once again Arya hats-off man. Directors of world movies, try to learn from BALA and Stop giving stupid commercial movies
