Padikkathavan isn’t meant for lovers of serious or meaningful cinema but if you’re in the mood for three hours of pure entertainment, this one is your best bet.

He (Prabhudeva) has crafted another mass entertainer where the narrative is fast and furious, though it is not in the same league as his earlier Pokkiri. On the whole, the film is a rip-roaring rocker.
On the whole, Vijay’s Villu is a action-packed mass masala film for his ardent fans but with loose ends.

At times it’s an overdose of emotions, but you don’t mind it as the actors are all fresh and have handled it well. The director Ilankannan has been able to provide a film which moves fast with a nice new message and is entertaining.

For a feel-good comedy, this one falls remarkably flat.
The peppy tunes of Vijay Antony and the well-made songs… there is nothing much to write home about!

Saranya Mohan walks away with all aplomb. She not just looks good on screen but is refreshing. ‘Panchamirtham’ is a laugh-riot and is the destination for children this vacation.
In such a film, it would be foolish to look for logic. There are mistakes too, as is natural with a debutante. But the film has succeeded in providing clean entertainment.
Get your kids, and have a blast. They will enjoy it.
